Baby Ben is Here!

Do you remember Nate and Kasey from my post a few months ago? Well they FINALLY had their little baby boy on August 23, 2011 at 7:01 pm. weighing in at 8 lbs. 12 oz and was 22 inches long.  He is beyond precious.  I had a blast taking pictures of him.  I have never taken newborn pictures so it was definitely a learning experience and I still have TONS to learn.  Newborn pictures are 10 times more difficult than you may think.  I think for my first attempt I didn't do too bad... I mean we did manage to get some shots of Ben and his cute little faces.  Congrats to Nate and Kasey and I can't wait for our little ones to become best buds.

Effects of Irene

We started feeling the effects of Hurricane Irene in Greenville, NC on the afternoon of Friday August 26th.  She finally left the area by early Sunday August 28th.  Luckily our home did not have any damage just one big messy yard.  I wish I could say the same for others in the area but unfortunately that wasn't the case.  Irene flooded many parts of Eastern NC and took down trees and power lines as well.  Eric and I drove around Sunday morning to take a look at some of the damage the storm did to our town. After our drive we got to work on cleaning up the yard. We worked all day long and finished around 7:00 pm and had a huge pile of debris to show for our hard work.

Meet the Pirates

Well the title of this post should be more like...
"Hey super cute and young Pirate football players... Meet my giant baby belly"

Yes, it's that time of the year again.  It's college football time and of course that means PIRATE FOOTBALL!  Every year the team has a day where fans can come out and get autographs so of course you know I had to go.  I was determined to get a little football signed for Wallace by Coach Ruff. Unfortunately it was HOT and Coach Ruff's line was extreemely long.  But no worries I got his autograph for Wallace after waiting for over 2 hours in line.  I told Coach Ruff that his future all star was in my belly so he kept holding up the football to my belly and telling Wallace to kick... How cute is that?
Here are a few pics from the event.
