In John Deere Green

*I'm soooooo behind on posting it's not even funny! So I'm going to start with my most recent shoot and then I may post some older shoots later this week.*

In John Deere Green

My cousin Chad and his fabulous fiance Michelle asked me to photograph their July southern wedding.  Now let's be honest, no southern wedding is complete with ... yep, you guessed it, Tractors. Not just any tractors but John Deere Tractors!

The wedding took place at Temperance Hall United Methodist church.  This church holds so many memories for me and it was such an honor to be able to photograph this wedding in such a special place.  The day went by so smoothly with the help of Michelle's Mother and Aunt. They did everything from helping organize the ceremony to catering and decorating for the reception.  The reception was very simple with lots of good food and a little bit of John Deere wherever you looked.

My absolute favorite part of photographing this wedding was to see Chad's excitement.  That boy loves Michelle so much and you just couldn't keep a smile off of his face the entire day.

Congrats to you both and thank you so much for letting me capture your special day!

Boy Bandemia -- Not Your Average Boy Band

March 2012 I was given a new position at Laupus Library.  I moved from my little cubicle on the 2nd floor up to an office on the 4th floor.  NEVER did I know that becoming Laupus Library's Collection Development Coordinator would lead me to meeting some pretty awesome guys.

As Beth (my new awesome boss lady) and I were getting situated into our new offices we noticed that a group of PA students liked to study right outside our offices.  We didn't really know what to think at first about these guys.  Were they going to be quiet little studious boys or were they going to be the typical annoying boys?  Yep you guessed it... Typical annoying boys is right!  Sometimes they talk about their families, sometimes they talk about their classmates, sometimes they make all sorts of bodily noises and sometimes they actually study.

One day I overheard them talking about their current topic of study... Poop!  After hearing them talking about all the different kinds of poop that existed I finally had to say something.  They were shocked to know that I was even listening... I mean come on how could you not listen to boys talking about poop?  Ever since that day they haven't shut up... but it's OK I kind of like it.  Without them being up here on the 4th floor the silence would kill me.  I look forward to them being up here studying, but instead of me listening to their conversations I actually get to join in on them.

These guys had a fun project to create for one of their classes this summer.  They had to come up with a presentation for Quitting Smoking and the sky was the limit when it came to creativity.  They decided they would become a boy band... Boy Bandemia that is.  They rewrote the lyrics to "I Want It That Way" by the Backstreet Boys and turned it into "I'll Quit But Not Today" by Boy Bandemia.  Not only did they decide to write these lyrics they took their vocals to the studio where they recorded their smash hit.  Once they found out about my photography skills we both knew that a photo shoot had to happen.

I've had a blast working on this project with the guys.  They truly are a blast to be around and I hope you enjoy these pictures as much as I enjoyed taking them.

I've included their AMAZING video for your viewing pleasure... Their goal is to go viral, so let's make it happen!!!!

Oh and if you go to the Doctor's one day and one of these guys walks into your exam room I wouldn't be too alarmed -- They actually study and I think just maybe they know what they are doing!

Here is their album artwork...
