A Messer Halloween...

Halloween has come and gone but boy was it a good time.  Greenville NC is known for their WILD Halloween bash downtown and we always make our way to my coworkers house (near downtown) to celebrate! This year she threw the Halloween party on Saturday so that gave us Sunday to recuperate. Saturday was spent preparing for the party by finishing up last minute details on our costumes and making yummy Halloween treats. Sunday was spent on the couch watching movies until late afternoon. Eric and I finished off the day by carving our pumpkin and walking around the neighborhood to see all the cute trick or treaters (since we never get any). So here it is... Halloween 2010.

"Congress shall make no law... abridging the freedom of speech..."

National Freedom of Speech Week
October 18-24, 2010

Laupus Library (where I work) and Multimedia and Technology Services Diversity Committee invited East Carolina University's West Campus to celebrate National Freedom of Speech Week.

They posted giant sheets of paper on the walls in the hall outside of the library.  They asked that people express themselves on the Free Expression Wall.  Pens, markers, and crayons were provided and it didn't take long for the bare white papers to be covered...

Celebrate What's Great at the NC State Fair

It's that time of year... you know that time where you get to go to that place with all the cute smelly animals, crowds of people, amusement rides, games, award winning food, ginormous pumpkins, and everything and I mean everything you could think of is deep fried!  Yep that's right it's NC State Fair time.  I haven't been in over 5 years which means I haven't been since I've met my husband.  So this year we made plans, I took off work and dragged that Michigan boy to the State Fair.  Although he was a little culture shocked we had a blast... Can't wait for next year!
