Sheraton Phoenix Downtown Hotel
The next few posts will be about my great adventures in Phoenix, AZ with my fabulous coworkers Ginny and Michael. The first post I will start with was our amazing hotel. The Sheraton Phoenix Downtown Hotel was absolutely perfect. The beds were super comfy, the bathroom was extremely roomy, and the view was gorgeous. Although, I wasn't too impressed with Phoenix itself the view of the mountains that surrounded the city made up for it. Our conference was held in the hotel so it made our life a lot easier. If there was a 30 minute break we could retreat back to our room instead of waiting in a lobby for our next session to start. The staff was exceptional and well the bellboys were pretty easy on the eyes. If you are traveling to Phoenix I would definitely recommend this fabulous hotel to you... Although I wouldn't order room service. A bowl of cereal was like 10 bucks + 3 bucks for delivery + sales tax... YIKES!

Who's the proud new owner of an iPad? THIS GIRL!
Last week I had the opportunity to travel with two of my coworkers to Phoenix, Arizona for a conference. Here is a little about the conference straight from the conference website....
The COSUGI 2011 Conference was designed as a venue for customers of SirsiDynix to learn new methods, best practices, tips & tricks from other libraries and connect with our peers from around the globe. This year the conference agenda included a variety of sessions that interested attendees regardless of the Integrated Library System (ILS) product they license.
During the opening session the SirsiDynix team announced they would be having a contest for the best photos taken at the conference...the winner would receive an iPad. They wanted us to post our pictures throughout the week on their Facebook page. They announced the winner during the closing session on Thursday... and yep I won!
Here are the photos I took...
Tuesday's afternoon snack... They were so looking out for this pregnant girl :)
Ginny was my model... she was hanging by the pool going over the conference agenda.
Michael checking the conference twitter feed from his iPhone poolside.
SirsiDynix hosted a party Wednesday night... This lady was performing behind the bar... in a tube.
Library people really like to party.. and hula hoop.
There was a fortune teller at the party... apparently I'm going to have a girl not a boy like my doctor said.
The man had awesome pirate shoes.
Dance Floor!
These two never stopped dancing.
Her nickname is Spikey... she had a blast.
Bill Davidson the COO of SirsiDynix... he was all about the fist pumping.
Matt Hawkins CEO of SirsiDynix with Bill Davidson
CEO and Ginny
In his own little world.
Our DJ for the evening.
Fun is written all over his face.
Ginny was too cute.
Shake what ya momma gave you.
This was the only move this man had!

One more session with Ashleigh
Ashleigh and I decided we would take some more graduation photos on a day that would be sunny and campus would be empty. Boy did we pick the WRONG day for that!!! This past Saturday was open house where tons of high school kids visit the campus to see how awesome ECU truly is. The campus was PACKED with visitors and Ashleigh and I probably gave more directions to the Science and Technology building than actually taking pictures. Also the lovely weatherman told me that morning that it was suppose to be sunny and warm. Unfortunately it was cloudy and freezing... but Ashleigh sucked it up and jumped in the Wright Fountain anyways, and I'm so glad she did!
Edmondson Family Fun
The Edmondson Family came to Greenville on Saturday for the 5th annual Piratefest. Of course I took the opportunity to snap some photos of my favorite little 3rd cousin Sawyer. This kid is too cute!!!! I'm not just saying this because he looks good in purple and gold... but this little guy is destined to be a PIRATE :)
And if you get a chance you should check out his moms blog On a lighter note. She's such a talented writer and her blog always keeps me entertained.
